Obituary of Peter S. St. Thomas

Please share a memory of Peter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Peter S. St. Thomas, a beloved husband, brother, stepfather, grandfather and uncle, passed away, peacefully, on May 1, 2024, at the age of 64, surrounded by his loving family.

Peter was born on March 9, 1960, in Rome, to Peter J. and Marie (Schiro) St. Thomas. He was a proud graduate of Rome Free Academy. On a beautiful day, he exchanged vows with the love of his life, Jackie (Caske) St. Thomas and together they embarked on a journey filled with love, laughter and countless cherished memories.

Peter is survived by his beloved wife, Jackie; his stepdaughter, Stacey Manderville; sister, Kelly St. Thomas; sister-in-law, Pauline Kapinos; and two adored grandchildren, Brianna and Brayden. He also is survived by his uncle, Anthony St. Thomas; nieces, Melissa Conley and Kimberly Kapinos; and nephew, Matthew Richardson. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter J. St. Thomas; mother, Marie St. Thomas; and his sister, Lori (St. Thomas) Richardson.

Peter was not just a successful businessman, but a dedicated builder who constructed homes in and around Upstate New York, leaving a lasting legacy in the communities he served. He poured his passion and craftsmanship into every project, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Peter was known for his unwavering devotion to his family and his beloved Kansas City Chiefs. An avid sports enthusiast, he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams with Uncle Anthony on a Sunday afternoon, especially the Chiefs, with unparalleled enthusiasm. His love for sports was rivaled only by his love for his dog, Maggie, who was his faithful companion through countless games and adventures.

Peter's zest for life extended beyond the bounds of his hometown, as he and Jackie shared a love for travel, exploring new destinations and creating memories together that would last a lifetime.

Peter St. Thomas will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His jovial sense of humor, generosity and infectious spirit touched the lives of many and will continue to be remembered fondly by those who were fortunate enough to call him family or friend.

Rest in peace, Peter. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved you.

We would like to thank Hospice for their support and unwavering dedication. A special thank you to Alicia, who went above and beyond caring for Peter during his illness.
