Obituary of Alice F. Guglielmo

Alice F. Guglielmo, age 99, of Rome, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024, at Rome Health Residential Healthcare Facility.

Alice was born in Lee Center on July 19, 1924 to the late Peter and Frances Quinn Thomas, and educated in the Rome Schools. Alice was united in marriage on July 17, 1943 to Salvatore Guglielmo, at St. Mary's Church; a blessed union until his passing on October 13, 1995. She worked in downtown Rome for most of her adult life including at Mohegan Market, Nelson's Department Store, Goldberg's Department Store, The New Goldberg's, and Oliver Office Equipment.

Alice is survived by her son, Daniel (Deborah) Guglielmo; daughter in law, Luba Guglielmo; grandchildren, Kristine King, William (Nikki) Guglielmo, Drs. Robert (Mona) Guglielmo, and Emilie Guglielmo; great grandchildren, Lily and Dylan Guglielmo, Madeline and Logan Guglielmo; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, William "Bill" Guglielmo; sister, Ann; and four brothers, Donald, Kenneth, James, and Peter.

Alice's family wishes to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at the Rome Residential Healthcare Facility, for their care and compassion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, at 11 AM, at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

There are no calling hours.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
