Nancy (Koenig) Purhenn, age 90, of Rome, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024, at The Commons on St. Anthony in Auburn, NY.

In 1958, LaRue and Nancy moved their family to Ithaca, NY. There, Nancy was a homemaker raising their five children. They were founding parishioners of St. Catherine of Sienna Church, where Nancy was an active member. She had many friends in a close-knit neighborhood and loved socializing with her women friends. She enjoyed reading, bowling, swimming, and listening to music.

After their children were grown, LaRue and Nancy returned to Rome, NY to be near Nancy’s mother and dear friends. She especially appreciated the help and care she received from her friends and neighbors Jack, Barbara, and Ellen.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild.
