Obituary of Anna R. DiMaggio

Anna R. DiMaggio, age 88, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at home.

Anna was born in Oneida, on July 5, 1935 to the late Frank and Aleta Mason Rice and educated in the Oneida Schools. On October 24, 1953, she was united in marriage to Vincent DiMaggio, in Oneida; a blessed union of 49 years until his passing on July 26, 2002. Anna worked as a bank teller at Oneida National Bank and Rome Federal Credit Union.

Anna enjoyed baking and cooking. She was a devout Catholic and loved her family and her dog, Abby.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Karen (Greg) Keller; sons, Stephen (Diana) DiMaggio, Joseph (Lisa) DiMaggio, and Marc (Bettina) DiMaggio; grandchildren, Vincent III, Nicole (James), Alexandra, Stephen, Daniel (Angela), Gregory (Kelly), Lauren (Dan), Joseph (Lauren), Mary Elizabeth (Patrick), Dominic (Kirstin), Alaina, and Gianna; great grandchildren, Clara, Isla, Jermain (GK), Jack, Ella, JD, Leo, Belle, Natalie, Roman, and Cameron; sister, Linda (Joseph) Bartolotti; her K-9 companion, Abby; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Vincent DiMaggio Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday March 15, 2024 at 11 AM at the Church of St. John the Baptist, with Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, on Thursday from 3 to 6 PM.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
