William K. "Bill" Clark, 68 of Rome, entered his heavenly journey, on Friday, February 27, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on March 23, 1957, Bill was the son of Fred and Peggy Clark. On June 9, 1995, he married his best friend and love of his life, Sally A. Fontana, a blessed union of 38 years. On July 21, 1998, they welcomed their cherished daughter, Anna Jane, into the world. Anna was the apple of his eye and he absolutely adored her. He was a loving and devoted father to his "Gizzy."
Although Bill was challenged with numerous medical issues for many years, he never once complained, rather faced them with faith, strength, and an unwavering will to live. He is now resting with his Lord, leaving behind a legacy of faith, courage and love.
Bill was known for his sharp wit, sweet nature and fierce devotion to those he loved. To know Bill, was truly to love him.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife Sally,;cherished daughter, Anna Jane; future daughter- in- law, Katie Yudin; brother, Sandy (Deb) Clark; sisters, Laura (George) Dahle, and Virginia (Joe) Campau; sisters-in-law, Jean Fontana, Anne Fontana, and Nadine Clark; and brother-in-law, Tom Morba. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends, especially the family's cherished friend, Colleen Kearins. He is also survived by his canine companion, Lyla.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, mother and father in law, Barbara and Sammy Fontana, his brother and buddy, Earl Clark, and brother Thomas Clark. Bill was also predeceased by his feline companion, Louisa.
The family would like to thank all those who assisted him while he was still at home, with transportation to medical appointments, visits, etc; you know who you are. A special thank you to the Hospice Team, who provided comfort to Bill and his family during his final days of earthly life. Profound gratitude to April Lucas, who provided Bill with an additional fourteen years with her generous donation of life.
Bill's service will be held on March 21, 2026, at 12 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, Rome.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 10 AM to 12 Pm prior to the service.
Donations may be made in Bill's memory to, the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Cure Alzheimer's Fund, and The Abraham House. Envelopes will be available at his service.
