William Stanley "Bill" Krzynowek

William Stanley Krzynowek, age 91, beloved husband and father, passed away November 11, 2012, at Rome Memorial Hospital with his loving family at his side.



He was born January 14, 1921, in Rome, a son of Stanley and Mary Gacioch Krzynowek, and graduated from Rome Free Academy and machinist trade school. He enlisted in the US Navy after trade school and served in England and North Africa as an aerial gunner and aircraft mechanic during World War II. William was united in marriage to the former Annette Lois Lauda on August 26, 1946, at the Church of St. John the Baptist. He was employed at the former General Cable Corp and at Pettibone Corp for many years until his retirement. He also worked in partnership with his wife and sister in law, Carmella Lauda in the family restaurant and bar known as Ann's Restaurant on W. Dominick Street



William enjoyed sailing, gardening, photography, hiking swimming and family picnics.



William is survived by his loving wife, Annette; daughters, Mary Ann Krzynowek and Deborah Jean Yoder of Rome; grandchildren, Michelle Yoder and David Yoder of Washington Mills; a son in law, Nathan Yoder of Washington Mills; a sister, Stephanie Lord of Alabama; a brother, Francis F. Ksynowek of Ava; brother in law, Nicholas Brement of Rome; sister in law, Angie Lauda of California; cousins, Chester Gacioch of Sauquoit; lifelong friends, Chet and Joe Bochnak of Rome; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Beatrice Brement; brother and sister in law, Joseph and Mary Krupiarz Ksynowek, a brother, Anthony Snow; sister in law, Carmella Lauda, brothers in law, Louis Lord and Dominick Lauda; and cousins, Anna Gacioch Pochorek, Peter, Stanley and Ted Gacioch.



The family would like to thank Dr. Apparao Poonati, Dr. Robert Feeney, Dr. Mohammed Seedat, Wael Otaibi, DO, and the staff of Rome Memorial Hospital for their considerate and compassionate care extended to William during his illness.



The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.



Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Wednesday 1 to 3 PM, prior to the funeral service.
