Jones, age 73, both of the Town of Floyd, passed away unexpectedly together on March 19, 2023, at home.Bill was born on December 10, 1946, in Utica to the late Murwin and Mary Renwick Jones. Dawn was born on December 5, 1949, in Ithaca to the late James and Emily Robbins Jones. They were united in marriage on July 31, 1998, and made their two previous families become one. Bill retired from the Central New York Psychiatric Center where he worked as a Security Hospital Treatment Assistant and union representative, and Dawn worked at several places, including The Frontier, where she and Bill first met and her latest being as a cashier at the Turning Stone Casino.Bill was an avid sports fan and followed the Atlanta Falcons football team- He enjoyed golfing with his children and close friends. Dawn enjoyed gardening and ceramics. They both cherished spending time with their children and grandchildren.They are survived by their children, Tracy Andrews of Catlett, VA, Bill (Kristy) Jones of South Riding, VA, Mike (Jamie) Jones of DeLand, FL, Patrick (Annakay) Jones of Annandale, VA, Adam (Danielle Harvey) Jones of Whitesboro, and Jim (Angela) Hayes of Westmoreland; their grandchildren, Taylor, Cate, Rachel, Aly, Eric, Mackenzie, Keegan, Noland, and Landon; Dawn’s siblings, Barbara Salatino, RuthAnn (David) Knapp, Timothy (Patricia) Jones, Richard (Joanne) Jones, and Bruce Jones; Bill’s siblings, Peg (Dick) Pellett, Mary (Don) Grass, Grace Johnson, and John (Janine) Jones; a sister in law, Marie Jones; and many loving nieces and nephews. They were predeceased by a granddaughter, Briana; Dawn’s brothers, Garry and Jim Jones; and Bill’s siblings, Rose Sanganetti, Murwin Jr. and Milton Jones.A funeral service will be held for Bill and Dawn on Saturday, at 12 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in the spring. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM to 12 PM prior to the funeral.In lieu of flowers, donations in their names may be made to: Mattie Miracle Foundation @ MattieMiracle.com.
