Timothy W. "Tim" Peterpaul

Timothy W. Peterpaul, age 58, of Rome, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2018.
He was born July 24, 1959, in Rome, NY, a son of the late Joseph and Hazel Millson Peterpaul, and educated in Rome schools. Tim served in the Rome Fire Department for almost 26 years, retiring in May 2013, as a lieutenant. He also was a certified welder and former Corrections Officer for the NYS Department of Corrections.
Tim had a special passion for the art of cooking, especially any type of pizza and his "famous" cheesecake. Nothing gave him more pleasure than cooking for others, especially family and friends. His love of cooking carried over to teaching his granddaughter to cook. When not in the kitchen, he also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.
Tim is survived by a daughter, Amy Peterpaul and her fiance´, Joseph Zwijacz of Yorkville; a stepson, Nick Pfeiff, at Ft.Bragg, NC; a sister, Kathy Peterpaul of Jacksonville, NC; a brother and sister in law, Joe and Gracey Peterpaul of Brevard, NC; his beloved granddaughter, Aeriana McNeil; lifelong friend, Michele Pfeiff; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many good friends.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 30, at 3:00 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 1 to 3 PM. Prior to the funeral service.
