McKevitt, age 84, of Whitesboro, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023, at his home, with his loving family at his side.He was born in Rome, the son of the late Lawrence and Regina Sullivan McKevitt, and graduated from St. Aloysius Academy.  Tom was united in marriage to the former Joyce Roundy, on September 21, 1963, at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Rome.  He served as a customer representative for Niagara Mohawk, retiring after many years of service.  He also enjoyed running the snack bar at Woods Valley Ski area for many years. He was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church in Whitesboro.Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He also was an avid golfer who had the good fortune and talent to score 7 “holes in one” over his time playing golf.  He also had the stamina and determination to walk and play 63 holes of golf on his 63rd  birthday.Tom is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joyce; daughters, Maureen McKevitt of Whitesboro, Anne and Alan Green of Albany, Kathleen and Jed Dorney of White Plains, and Elizabeth McKevitt of Whitesboro; a son, Thomas and May McKevitt of Bermuda; a sister, Regina Barry of Rome; and grandchildren, Jacob, Nate and Seth Green, Sarah, Julia and Jed Dorney, and Vivian and Stephanie Mckevitt.  He was predeceased by a son, Lawrence, and a sister, Mary Ann Foote.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 AM, at St. Paul’s Church, Whitesboro.
