Thomas A. Angotti, age 65, of Rome, passed away April 22, 2012, at Rome Memorial Hospital, with his loving family at his side.
He was born November 16, 1946, in Rome, the son of the late Thomas and Doralena Carnevale Angotti, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. Tom was united in marriage to the former Victoria Spada on April 3, 1981, in Rome, New York. He was employed by the CNYDSO in Rome, retiring after several years of service. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1967 -68.
Tom loved being with his family and taking his dog, Abby, for walks around the neighborhood. He always enjoyed working around the yard and in his garden. His other great love was for sports and was an avid NY Yankee and Syracuse fan.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Vickie; a son, Matthew T. Angotti and Janice Vanderhoff of Rome; a daughter and son in law, Shelly and Rob Donohue; his father in law, John Spada of Rome; sisters in law and brothers in law, Linda and Rick Magill of Aspen, CO, Elizabeth Spada of Rome, Anthony Spada of Rome and Grace Spada and Don Reynolds of Rome; nieces and a nephew, Carly and Evan Magill and Tracy Spada and a great niece, Sophia; and 2 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother in law, Angelina Spada.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 12 Noon, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Friday, 10 AM to 12 noon, prior to the funeral service.
