Theodore R. Lince, Sr., age 78, of Lee Center, passed away November 20, 2010, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center, with his family at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born August 26, 1932, in Rome, a son of Albert and Helen Martin Lince, and educated in Rome schools. Ted was united in marriage to the former Sandra J. LaSalle on April 21, 1955; a marriage of 55 years. He formerly was employed at Pettibone Corp, and later worked at P & C Markets. Ted proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Ted was avid Yankee fan and fisherman. He truly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with all his family. His other passion was playing music. He played steel guitar, and was a member of several area bands, such as, Stan Fish and the Sante Fe Riders, Sunset Ramblers and Country Crossroads.
Ted is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Ted Jr, and Audrey Lince of Wampsville, Lori Horeth of Watertown, Martina Dolan and companion, William Walker of Williamstown, SC, Susan and Ed Moon of Clayton, NC, William and Rowena Lince of Okinawa, Japan, Timothy and Shelley Lince of Rome, and Donna Todora and companion, Kevin Bowen of Rome; a sister, Shirley West of Largo, FL; 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Norman and Albert Lince; a grandsons, Philip B. Dolan and Alex Walker and great grandson, London Dolan.
Funeral services will be private.
