Theodore Wesley Clark Sr, 80, went home to be with the Lord, on March 9, 2011, after a brief illness, at the Hospice Siegenthaler Center in New Hartford, New York.



He was born August 7, 1930, in Damarascotta, ME, and moved from Maine to Rome, New York with his family in 1982. He was a 1949 graduate of Bridge Academy in Dresden, ME, and attended the University of Maine 1954-1956. A Korean War Veteran, he served in the Air Force from 1950-1954. As a carpenter/contractor most of his life, he enjoyed working part-time at ACE Hardware in Rome, NY during his retirement years until age 79. Vegetable gardening was his passion, and he shared his bountiful harvests with family, friends and neighbors. He was a loving, generous soul who would help anyone who needed an encouraging word or a helping hand.



Theodore is survived by his children, Kimberly Pruitt & her husband, John; Wesley Clark & his wife, Sherry; Theodore Clark, Jr. & his wife, Susan; and five grandchildren, Casey, Kyle, Samuel, Kendall and Kaitlyn; and 9 siblings: Edward and Nancy Clark; Errol Clark; Frank Clark; Shirley Lapierre; Margarita Clark; Geraldine and Richard Gravell; Ellis and Susan Bailey; Larry and Anne Bailey; Henrietta and Edgar Rankin. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years, Faith Clark, a sister, Ruth Levalle.



A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 2:00 PM, at the Beeches Inn and Conference Center, 7900 Turin Road, Route 26N, Rome, NY.



Relatives and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, Friday, March 18, 2011, from 4:30 to 7:30 PM.
