Susan G. Marsh, age 59, of the Town of Lee, passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2018.



Susan was born in Rome on May 16, 1958 to the late Ronald and Shirley Reitz Turner. She was educated in the Rome Schools. She was previously married to Bruce Gillespie but continued to remain good friends. She worked as a therapy aid for the OPWDD.



Susan enjoyed playing games, especially cards. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She had a strong faith in Jesus and always found the bright side of things.



Susan is survived by her two loving sisters, who devoted their lives to taking care of her during her illness, Sharon Cosimeno and Linda Jackson both of Lee Center; her stepmother, Patricia Turner of Lee Center; a stepson, Kenneth Marsh; three grandchildren, Kaden, Allessandra, and Kaylyn; her nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children, Shane and Kelsey Cosimeno, and Lindsay and Kaley Jackson; her great nephew and nieces; her stepsiblings, Barbara Libby, Brenda Choquette, Frank, Richard, Kevin, Mark, and Kenneth LaGasse; and her cat, Chloe. She was predeceased by a brother, David Turner.



The family would like to thank Dr. Regulagadda and the staff at Mohawk Glen dialysis for their care and compassion shown to Susan during her illness.



Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 6 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in the spring.



Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 PM prior to the service.
