Stanley W. Bogacz, Jr., age 62, of Rome, passed away on October 16, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
Stan was born on April 16, 1953 in Camp Lejeune, NC to the late Stanley Sr. and Dorothy Abbott Bogacz. He graduated from Utica Free Academy. On October 27, 1973, he was united in marriage to Esther Narbone in Utica. Stan was a journeyman at Revere Copper & Brass in Rome fixing anything and everything.
Stan enjoyed bowling and fishing and was a former member of the Trenton Fish and Game Club. He was also an avid golfer, always trying to improve his game.
Stan is survived by his beloved wife, Esther; his daughter, Holly (Jason) Crandall of Utica; his two sons, Adam (Melissa) Bogacz, and Stanley III (Michele) Bogacz, all of Rome; and his cherished grandchildren, Colin, Elena, Ian, Liam, and Scott (Bridgette) Tagliaferri. He also leaves a future great, grandchild who is due to arrive in the coming months.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 7 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, with the Re. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Burial will be private.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 PM, prior to the service.
