View Tribute Book Sharon Ann Mortis, 55, of Lee Center, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021.  She was born in Rome, New York, on December 20, 1965, the youngest of three siblings, to John and Dianne Vandenbosch. Sharon worked as the Town of Lee Clerk in Lee Center for 20 years. She loved serving the people of Lee Center and took great joy in visiting with the numerous residents that would come into the Town Hall.  She was well regarded by the residents and elected to multiple terms, at times running unopposed.  Sharon is survived by her two children, Cody Mortis, residing in California, and her daughter, Shayna Mortis and her fiancé, Logan Weisenburger of Rome; her three grandchildren, Olivia, Logan and Lincoln Weisenburger; her brother, John VandenBosch and his wife, Taffy, of Texas; and her sister, Cathy Schmidt and her husband, John of Florida; many nieces and nephews; her cherished friend of many years, Kathy Kenny Burdick, AKA Orville; and her constant K-9 companion, Dozer. She was predeceased by her father, John. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 17, 2021, from 1 to 2:30 PM, at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut street. .
