Sharon L. "Altier" Colangelo

Sharon L. Colangelo, age 67, of Rome, passed away November 10, 2012, with her loving family at her side.



She was born September 8, 1945, in Newport, RI, a daughter of Joseph J. and Edith E. Joseph Altieer, Jr., and graduated from Rome Free Academy. Sharon was employed at Rome Cable, Oneida County Department of Social Services, and later as a Court Security Officer for the County of Oneida, retirng years ago.



Sharon loved being with her family, and spending time at the family camp in Boonville.



Sharon is survived by a daughter and son in law, Christy and Roy Campanaro of Rome; a son and daughter in law, Michael P. and Jackie Colangelo, Sr. of Rome; her mother, Edith Altier of Rome; two sisters and a brother in law, Brenda Harbison of Rome, and Michelle and Jeff Brand of Floyd; and a brother and sister in law, Joseph J. and Judy Altier III of Westmoreland; grandchildren, Michael P. Colangelo, Jr, Paul A. Colangelo and Brandon J. Colangelo; and nieces and nephews.



A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.



Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday 4 to 7 PM, prior to the memorial service.
