Rose M. Rossi

September 6, 1933 — January 4, 2025

Rose M. Rossi, age 91, of the Town of Westmoreland, passed away peacefully at home on January 4, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

Rose was born in Rome on September 6, 1933, to the late Paul and Lena Bianco Perry, and graduated from RFA in 1951. On April 18, 1953, she was united in marriage to Andrew Rossi. She worked at Griffiss AFB as a secretary for a brief time and afterwards was a homemaker and raised her four children.

Rose enjoyed going to the casino to play bingo. She was a great cook and loved to entertain her family. She was an avid sports fan and followed Syracuse, Notre Dame Football, and the Yankees. Rose stayed young at heart and even learned to text message at the age of 85.

Rose is survived by her loving husband of nearly 72 years, Andrew; her daughters, Diane (Donald) Rash, and Joanne Rossi both of Rome; her sons, Anthony (Sue Allen) Rossi of Oriskany Falls, and Andrew (Ranae Waterman) Rossi of Rome; her grandchildren, Danielle (Bill) Lipe, and Nicholas Rossi; great grandchildren, Abigail and Natalie Lipe. She was "Aunt Rosie" to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret (John) Rossi, Vincettia (Floyd) Edick, Celia (Nemo) Lamascolo, Stephanie (Chester) Houser, and Carmella (Jake) Hollingshead; her brothers, Frank (Rosaria) Perry and Joe Perry; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Raymond (Janet) Rossi.

Per Rose’s wishes services will be private. Entombment in the family mausoleum will be in Rome Cemetery in the spring.
