Ronald L. Cook, age 69, of the Town of Kirkland and formerly of Lee Center, passed away peacefully at home on August 12, 2019.
Ron was born in Matewan, W. Va. on August 20, 1949 to the late Virgil and Joyce Scott Cook. He was united in marriage to the former Patricia Weaver, whom passed away on August 6, 2016. Ron worked as a locomotive engineer for railways throughout New York State.
He spent his final days surrounded by family and watching the variety of birds that he kept well fed.
Ron is survived by a daughter and son in law, Jessica and John Todd of Wylie, TX; a son and daughter in law, Richard and Christina Cook of Clinton and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by several siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 AM to 12 PM prior to the funeral.
