Rodney C. Peck

SMSgt, Rodney C. Peck, age 79, USAF, retired, of the Town of Floyd, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015, at Rome Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 30, 1936, in Danville, VT, a son of the late Clarence and Irma Bashaw Peck and graduated from Danville High School in 1954. Rodney was united in marriage to the former Beverley Ann Ball, on April 30, 1961, in Copenhagen, NY. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1954-1979. He later worked for NASA in Maryland, defense contractors at Griffiss Air Force Base and finally L.B. Security in Utica.
Rodney was a member of the Floyd United Methodist Church, Roberts Post 161, American Legion, in Holland Patent and a Masonic order in Vermont. He enjoyed bowling and spending time with his grandchildren.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Beverley; a son and daughter in law, Rodney C. II and Lisa Peck of Aptos, CA; a daughter and son in law, Ann and Jerry Meharg of Clinton Township, MI; a sister, Vera Pierce of Orlando, FL; and grandsons, Zachary and Christopher. He was predeceased by a sister, Anita Moore.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 AM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial with full Military Honors will be in Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 4 to 7 PM
