Robert N. Hanright, Sr., age 77, of Lee Center, passed away on March11, 2014, due to a long illness.
He was born February 4, 1937, in Annsville, the son of the Howard and Josie Flickinger Hanright. Robert was a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer. He served aboard the USS Lake Champlain, USS Macdonough and the USS Wainwright. He also was a dedicated volunteer at the Donald J. Mitchell VA Clinic in Rome. Robert will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Josie, three brothers, Clifford, Frank and Howard, Jr., and a son, Jason.
Robert is survived by his wife, Connie; two brothers, Arthur and Kenneth; a sister, Pat Themelis; two daughters, Robin and Crystal; three sons, Robert, Jr., William and Daniel; and his grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial with full military honors will be in the spring at Rathbunville Cemetery.
