Robert Willard Roe, 75, of Rochester and formerly of Rome, passed away peacefully in Rochester on April 27, 2016.
He was born August 12, 1940, in Rome, a son of the late Clarence O. and Blanche I. Burkhart Roe, ad was educated in Rome schools. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965.
He was employed for many years at Bausch and Lomb and Kodak in Rochester. He was an avid hunter, loved to follow car racing and horse racing and enjoyed his trips to the casinos.
Bob is survived by a sister, Julia Canfield; two brothers and a sister in law, George and Dorothy Roe of Rome, and Howard Roe of Rome; several nieces and nephews; and some very special friends in Rochester. He was predeceased by brothers, Richard, Sam and John Roe.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 3:00 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial with military honors will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery.
