VandenBosch, 53, recently of Ilion, NY, passed away on September 10, 2024, at The Grand Nursing Home in Utica, NY, after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in Syracuse, NY on September 26, 1970.  He was the youngest child of the late Robert L. VandenBosch and late Rolanda J. VandenBosch.  Reuel (a.k.a. "Ace") attended Camden Central School District since the age of about 8 years old.  He worked for most of his life in the field of carpentry and house painting, for various employers and as a self-employed sub-contractor.  He liked to spend his leisure time fishing, camping, drawing or painting and was a talented artist.  He also enjoyed playing the acoustic guitar and listening to music of various genres, but particularly rock.  He was the happiest when he was able to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He had a witty sense of humor, often joking with nursing staff and family and friends even during his last days. Reuel was predeceased by both of his parents and all grandparents, as well as two sisters, Robin VandenBosch and Regina VandenBosch, a brother, Roland VandenBosch and several other relatives.  He is survived by a son, a daughter, three grandchildren, a sister and a brother, along with their spouses and children.  So,n Joshua VandenBosch and wife Rachel Christeler and his son, Sawyer VandenBosch; daughter, Meagan (VandenBosch) Miller and husband, Grady Miller and their daughters, Clara Miller and Emma Miller; sister, Rebecca (VandenBosch) Butler and husband, Theodore Butler, Jr. and their son, Justin Butler; brother, Robert VandenBosch and wife, Samantha (English) VandenBosch and their son, Zachary VandenBosch and daughter, Sarah (VandenBosch) Murray and husband, Jeffery Murray. Memorial services will be held September 21, 2024, at 1 :00 PM, at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W.
