On January 20, 1951 he married Doris Farr and together they were blessed with three wonderful children, Bruce (Deb) Rickmyer, Mark Rickmyer (Robin Lester) and Diane (Jim) Morisey, two grandchildren Erin and Josh Bustos.

His wife, children and grandchildren survive Ralph, along with his sister Shirley Hughes, sister-in-law Marge Rickmyer, several nieces and nephews and Randy Ramsey who was like a son. Ralph is pre-deceased by his parents and brother, Warren.

Being a farmer his entire life Ralph became involved in many agricultural associations and programs. Ralph was also involved in the formation of the Floyd Fire District and served as treasurer for 30 years, was a charter member and chaplain of Floyd Volunteer Fire Department. In 1986 he received the Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Moulton award for outstanding citizen of the town of Floyd.

Ralph was a member of the Floyd United Methodist Church. Ralph and Doris enjoyed traveling, first by car with all the kids and later by tour bus.

The family would like to thank the staff at Faxton-St. Luke's ICU for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Floyd United Methodist Church.
