Phyllis J. Patenaude, age 93, of Rome, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, at the Rome Health RHCF.
Phyllis was born in Rome on March 6, 1932, to the late Milo and Edna Nessel Fahey, and educated in the Rome Schools. She worked as a therapy aide for the Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center in Utica. Phyllis enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She was at one time a CSEA officer.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Suzanne (Andrew Sr.) Potter of Vernon, and Christine Allen of Clark Mills; her son, Jeffrey Patenaude of Rome; her grandchildren, Andrew (Jodie) Gardner, David (Maria) Frank, Amy Frank, Andrea (Eric), AJ (Ashley) Potter, Asheley (Dan) Leonard, and Aaron Potter; her great grandchildren, Kylee, Noah, and Drew Gardner, Jayden, twins Matthew, Kaylee, and Alyssah Frank, Ryan, Seth, Landon, Anthony, Harvey, and Elani; her brother in law, Frank Nicotera; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters, Elaine Nicotera and Gail Mullen; brothers, Roger (Miyoko) Fahey and Patrick Fahey; and her significant other of 25 years, Dean Mallory.
Services will be private.
