Paul D. Jones, age 61, of Turin Road, passed away August 11, 2009, in Melville, New York, after a brief illness, with his loving family at his side.
He was born October 18, 1947, in Rome, a son of Clayton and Theona Cullings Jones, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. Paul was united in marriage to the former Patricia Neidl, on June 20, 1970, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was formerly employed at Revere Copper Products, retiring in 1987.
Paul loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He also was active in Little League Baseball and Scouting. Paul was a great Yankee fan is certainly cheering for them from Heaven.
Paul is survived by his wife, Patricia; a son and daughter in law, Dr. David T. and Kristin Jones of Dix Hills, NY; a brother, Kevin M. Jones of Rome; granddaughters, Alexa and Riley Jones of Dix Hills, NY; and many great friends, including Kathy and Gary Richardson of Lee Center.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Sunday 3 to 7 PM.
