Patrick "Dooley" C. Dolan, age 68, of Rome and Bonita Springs, FL, passed away February 28, 2011, in Florida.
He was born September 29, 1942, in Utica, the son of William F. and Eleanor King Dolan, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. Pat was united in marriage to the former Patricia Tormey, on October 14, 1962 in Rome. He served in the Rome Fire Department for27 years, retiring in January 1998. He was a member of St. Peter's Church and St. Leo's Church in Bonita Springs, FL.
Pat was a true sportsman, he loved playing golf, hockey and coaching hockey to his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping; and was having the time of his life on his fishing trips on his new boat in the Gulf of Mexico.
Pat is survived by his best friend and love of his life, Patricia; three daughters and sons in law, Kelly and Steve Andrade of San Diego, CA, Kerry and Jeffrey Cannan of Canandaigua, and Kimberley and Gary Buliniski of Kirkville; a sister and brother in law, Susan and Joseph Whitman of Blue Mountain Lake; his mother in law, Helen Tormey; grandchildren, Tim Sestito and wife, Heather, Tom Sestito, Tory and Jenna Carissimo, Logan Cannan, and Leslie, Brendon and Allyson Andrade; and a great granddaughter, Sloane Adella Sestito.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:45 AM from the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street and at 12:30 PM at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Friday 4 to 8 PM.
