Patricia C. Carpenter, age 56, of Albrecht Road, passed away February 25, 2009.
She was born February 21, 1953, in Monmouth, NJ, a daughter of Howard and Rita Hertrich Crofford, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. She was formerly married to Alan Carpenter. Patricia was formerly employed at Turning Stone Casino and most recently at Burger King in Rome.
Patricia was a loving person who for many years cared for her handicapped sister, Suzanne, until her death in 2007. She also had a great love for animals and always cared for any animal that strayed by her home.
Patricia is survived by two brothers and a sister in law, Neal Crofford of Sebring, FL, and James and Michelle Crofford of Thousand Oaks, CA; a sister in law, Cheryl Sexton of Floyd; nieces and nephews, Shannon Crofford and her fiance´e, Brian Barker, Brett and Darcy Crofford, and James and Tammy Crofford; 4 great nieces and nephews; a special aunt, Lillian Rolka; a very special and caring friend, Bonnie Flynn; her many friends at Burger King; and her animals. She was predeceased by her sister, Suzanne.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 8:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday 5 to 8 PM, prior to the memorial service.
