Patricia J. Cook, age 66, of Lee Center, passed away peacefully August 6, 2016, with her family at her side.
She was born July 24, 1950, in Utica, NY, a daughter of the late Richard and Betty (Perkins) Weaver. Patricia was united in marriage to Ronald L. Cook. She worked for many years as a nursing assistant at area nursing facilities, including Bethany Gardens and Betsy Ross Nursing Center and Rome Memorial Hospital. She later worked at the Humane Society of Rome.
Patricia's life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also an avid quilter and had a love of cats. She often adopted older and sick cats and nursed them through their illnesses and old age.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Ronald; children, Jessica and John Todd of Plano, TX, and Richard and Christina Cook of Rome; 6 brothers and sisters; and 6 grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 12 Noon, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday 11 AM to 12 Noon, prior to the funeral service.
