Norma "Aper" Zbiegien

Norma Zbiegien, age 93, of Rome, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2018 at the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility.



Norma was born in Rome on January 21, 1925 to the late Earl and Lina Herman Draper and attended the Rome schools. On August 2, 1942, she was united in marriage to Stanley Zbiegien; a blessed union of nearly 62 years until his passing on May 25, 2004.



Norma is survived by a son and daughter in law, Kenneth and Deidre Zbiegien of Willowick, OH; grandchildren, Joanne (Moyer) Jones of Kure Beach, NC, Robert Moyer of Clayton, NC, Kendrick Zbiegien of Willoughby, OH, and Kirsten Zbiegien of Eastlake, OH; and great grandchildren, Jake Demers of Kure Beach, NC, Quinten Moyer of Rocky Point, NC, and Bailey and Ethan Moyer of Clayton, NC. She was predeceased by a daughter Marlene C. Moyer on July 3, 2003; eight sisters; and two brothers.



Funeral services and burial were held at Rome Cemetery.



Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
