Noreen "Peggy" J. McCaffrey, age 78, of Town of Western, passed away June 2, 2010, with her loving family at her side.
She was born September 27, 1931, in Ogdensburg, a daughter of Nelson and Lillian Bogart, and graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. Peggy was united in marriage to Donald J. McCaffrey, on November 27, 1949, in Ogdensburg; a loving marriage of 60 years. She was formerly employed at Marcy Psychiatric Center, retiring many years ago.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Donald; children and spouses, Robert and Donna McCaffrey of Floyd, Barbara McCaffrey of Rome, Bernard and Robin McCaffrey of Floyd and Connie and Jeffrey Bunal of Floyd; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Westernville Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westernville Volunteer Fire Department, 9305 Route 46, Westernville, NY 13486.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
