Naomi T. Schipano, age 69, of Taberg, passed away peacefully at home on July 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Naomi was born in Rome on November 6, 1955, to the late Seymour and Carley Russell Fox, and graduated from RFA. On May 12, 1979, she was united in marriage to Anthony L. Schipano, Jr. Naomi was a registered nurse and worked at several facilities including Stonehedge Nursing Home, the Rome DDSO, and also in corrections. She retired as a Nurse Administrator in 2015.
Naomi loved to dance and even taught belly dancing classes. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts, baking, reading, and painting. She loved all animals and rescued many cats throughout her life. She also loved trips to Myrtle Beach and NYC.
Naomi is survived by her devoted husband , Anthony; her children, Taryn (Eric) Vrooman, Elana (Fred) Evans, and Kyle Schipano; her sisters, Juanita Mendoza, Sherry Fox, Jeannette Fox Yahoudy, Sheila (Joe Carrado) Fox, and Janine (Dale) Davis; her brothers Joseph (Nancy Novak) Fox, and Scott (Kelly) Fox; many nieces and nephews; and several special friends: Dawn Van Dresar, Barbara Schipano Calandra, Nancy Tuzzolino, Marie Rossi, Marc Mario, and Gary Fisher. She was predeceased by her brother, Terry Fox.

Naomi's funeral celebration will be held on Friday, August 1, at 6 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
