Nancy K. Henderson

Nancy Kline Henderson, age 79, of Rome, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at Rome Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Nancy Kline Henderson was born October 23, 1945, in Rome, New York, to G. Lewis and Kathryn Akins Kline. She graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1963. On March 17, 1973, she was united in marriage to Robert J. Henderson. She was employed as secretary to Hon. John W. Grow, Supreme Court Justice, for 45 years, retiring in 2008.

Nancy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rome. She was also a member of Utica-Holly Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, a former member of the Daughters of the Nile, and volunteered for many years at the Capitol Theatre, and served as a volunteer for the NYS Health Department Ombudsman program.

She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Henderson; her godson, Michael R. Wilkinson Jr.; and several cousins. Nancy was predeceased by her stepson, Robet A. Henderson in 1995.

Funeral services will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 2 PM at Rome First United Methodist Church, 400 N. George Street with Rev. Robert Wollaber officiating. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 11 AM.
