Muriel E. Bereza, age 85, of Rome, passed away September 21, 2010, at Rome Memorial Hospital.
She was born January 6, 1925, in Ilion, a daughter of Harold E. and Florence B. Brewer Beer, and educated in Herkimer schools. Muriel was united in marriage to Wencel W. Bereza, on November 8, 1941, in Herkimer; he died August 29, 2003.
Muriel enjoyed traveling and doing puzzles; but her real love was her family. She loved spending time with her family, including children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Muriel is survived by a daughter, Joyce Fowler of Louisburg, NC; three sons and daughters in law, Gregory W. and Margaret Bereza of Rome, Wencel D. and Nadine Bereza of Rome, and John H. and Dawn Bereza of Rome; grandchildren, Gregory V, Sean, John and Jeremy Bereza, James, Timothy, Keith and Christopher Fowler, and Wendy Bereza; and 6 great grandchildren, Juliana, Cash and Matthew Bereza, and April, Leigh and Abby Fowler. She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Panko and two brothers, Willder R. Beer and Robert Beer.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM, at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Herkimer.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Friday 4 to 6 PM.
