Miyoko S. Fahey, age 81, of Sauquoit, passed away peacefully, on March 26, 2017, at her home with her loving family at her side.
She was born August 14, 1935, in Kanagawa-Ken, Japan, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tokinosuke Sasaki, and educated in Japan schools. She was formerly married to Roger Fahey. Miyoko worked for many years at ConMed in Utica.
Miyoko is survived by a daughter and son in law, Akemi and Robert Rinelli of Moyock, NC; three sons and a daughter in law, Robert Fahey of Fort Collins, CO, Lawrence and Marilyn Fahey of Owego, and Foster Fahey of Sauquoit; her former husband, Roger Fahey; a sister, Yoko Kobayashi of Japan; two brothers, Masazo Sasaki and Masami Sasaki, both of Japan; grandchildren, Tricia Hamrick, Alia Fahey, Garrett Fahey, Benjamin Rinelli and Harrison Rinelli; two great grandchildren, Shawn Fahey and Lucas Caridi.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 7:00 PM, at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday 4 to 7 PM, prior to the funeral service.
