Michael R. Kimball, age 30, of Rome, passed away on September 21, 2013 at Rome Memorial Hospital.
Mike was born in New Hartford, NY on August 20, 1983 to Richard and Cindy Howroyd Kimball. He had made his home at the Walsh Comple, prior to moving to IRA #3. In 2004, he graduated from BOCES in New Hartford.
Michael had a great sense of humor and also a zest for life. He was very sociable and a big people person. He loved going out for dinner. He enjoyed a variety of music and his garden and also had a passion for college basketball, NASCAR, and Jeff Dunham. One of his highlights in life was taking a tour of the Rome Fire Department. He had a tremendous impact on everyone that knew him and he will be deeply missed.
Mike is survived by his parents; three aunts, Debbie Schoonmaker, Sharon Wojdyla and Susan Waltman; and uncle, Marty Howroyd; and many of the staff with whom he became apart of their etended family, especially his friend, Debbie Rotolo. He was predeceased by two brothers, Josh and David; and two uncles David and Michael Howroyd.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be min Maple Hill Cemetery, Taberg.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, prior to the funeral service.
