Mary J. "Midge" D'Aiuto, age78 of Rome, passed away April 26, 2019.
She was born December 31, 1940, in Corning, the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary Pitts Roe, and educated in Rome schools. Midge was united in marriage to Prosper "Cappy" D'Aiuto. She worked as an accountant and office manager at T & K Realty, LLC.
Midge loved life, her family and tending to her gardens.
Midge is survived by her husband, Prosper; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kimberly and Timothy Birnie of Rome, and Liane D'Aiuto of Clark Mills; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Becky D'Aiuto of Rome; beloved grandchildren, Kait Carstensen and husband, Chad, Lauren Birnie and Brian Birnie, and Lindsay, MacKenzie and Caroline D'Aiuto; and an adored great granddaughter, Carys Carstensen.
Funeral services will be private.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Jervis Public Library.
