Mary Kran, age 89, of Lee Center, passed away peacefully, October 12, 2012, at Rome Memorial Hospital, with her loving family at her side.
She was born January 8, 1923, in Boonville, a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Spankewicz Zawaly, and was educated in Bridgewater schools. Mary was united in marriage to Walter Kran on September 2, 1939; he died in February of 1978.
Mary was a great mother and grandmother. She lived in Boonville as a young girl, moving to Bridgewater at the age of 9. Her and Walter were farmers and eventually moved to Podunk Road in Lee Center, where she has lived since 1950. Her and Walter's greatest accomplishment was their family, and introducing their children to the Lord, Jesus. Their love and prayers were greatly appreciated and will be dearly missed.
Mary is survived by three daughters and two sons in law, Connie and Robert Watson of Camden, Joan Sherwood of Lee Center, and Linda and Richard Jeroszko of Scotia, NY; a sister in law, Mary Janet Kran; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Walter Kran and a brother, Peter Zawaly.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM, at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Monday 4 to7 PM.
