View Tribute Book Maria Suhomlin, age 97, of Rome, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2019. She was born May 16, 1922, in the Ukraine, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hyduchka.  She immigrated to the United States with her family during World War II.  Maria was predeceased by her first husband, Nicholas Schewchenko, and her second husband, Nick Suhomlin. She worked for many years as a seamstress. Maria is survived by two nieces, Lydia Gigliotti of Tampa, FL, and Luba and William Guglielmo of Rome; and a nephew, Victor and Donna Postoy of Sun City, AZ. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM, at the Holy Trinity Monastery Cemetery Chapel in Jordanville, NY.  Burial will be in Holy Trinity Monastery Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W.
