Marguerite L. Weidenfeller
Marguerite L. Weidenfeller, age 103, passed away May 6, 2011, at home with her loving family at her side.
She was born February 29, 1908, in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of William V. and Katherine I. Lynch. She graduated from Cortland Normal School with a Teaching Degree. Marguerite was united in marriage to Charles A. Weidenfeller, on December 30, 1940, in Rome; he died on September 17, 1992.
She was a former 2nd Grade teacher for the Rome City School District. She was a member of St. Peter's Church.
Marguerite was a well loved and respected person, many of her former students still remember and remark about their former days in"Mrs. Weidenfeller's class".
Marguerite is survived by a daughter, Ann K. Weidenfeller of Rome; two sons and a daughter in law, Charles A. and Jackie Weidenfeller of Rockville, MD, and William L. Weidenfeller and fiance´e, Joyce of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Scott and David Weidenfeller, and great grandchildren, Lindsay, Abigail, Charlie and Margaret. She was predeceased by a brother, William Lynch.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9:45 AM from Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, and at 10:30 AM at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Sunday 4 to 6 PM.
