View Tribute Book Margaret Weissmuller, 84, of Westernville, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024.She was born on December 7, 1940, a daughter of the late Harold "Red" and Mildred "Millie" Johnson. She was united in marriage to the late Ernest "Ernie" Weissmuller on September 28, 1957, at St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center. She retired from the NYS DDSO.Margaret resided in Westernville where her and Ernie ran a bait and tackle shop. She also loved to cut hair out of her shop at the house. Margaret spent her days after retirement making quilts for her friends and family. Margaret had a soft spot in her heart for her dogs. She also enjoyed playing in the local pitch league at the Westernville legion. She was very happy to be able to enjoy the peacefulness of Lake Delta.Margaret is survived by a son, Kyle Weissmuller and his girlfriend, Heather Steele of Westernville; two grandchildren, Kylee and her husband Paul Mierek of Westernville, and Casey Weissmuller of Holland Patent; a brother, Floyd "Butch" Johnson and his wife, Carol Johnson of Boonville; and a sister, Shirley Dibble and her husband, Bill Dibble of Westernville; as well as several nieces and nephews that she all loved dearly. She is predeceased by her husband, Ernie and son, Lee Weissmuller.A memorial service will be held at the North Western United Methodist Church at 12:30 PM on Saturday, December 14th. A celebration of life will follow at the Westernville fire house. All are welcome to attend. The family would greatly appreciate it if anyone would like to bring a dish to pass. They can be dropped off at the fire house before the memorial service.
