Louise Ann Kirk, age 86, of Rome, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2016, with her loving family at her side.
She was born March 14, 1930, in Watertown, a daughter of the late Ralph T. and Lenore M. Tolman Sutton, and graduated from Watertown High School in 1949. Louise was united in marriage to Karl F. Kirk, on August 26, 1951, in Watertown; he died October 15, 2002.
Louise loved caring for her family and their home. She enjoyed tending to her gardens during the spring and summer months and also ha d a great love for animals and pets.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Kristine Kirk of Rome; two sons, James M. Kirk and Kathleen Haley of Rome, and Thomas and Alison Kirk of Rome; grandchildren, Jamie and Joseph Cieslak; great grandchildren, Madeline, Reily and Sullivan Cieslak; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John Sutton; a sister, Mary Kirk; and a grandson, Marcus Kirk.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 3:30 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Wright Settlement Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday from 1 to 3:30 PM, prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care.
