Louise Ricci Patrick, 87, beloved wife, loving mother, devoted grandmother, and great grandmother, went to be with our Lord on June 5th, 2012. She passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her daughter Linda.

Louise was born April 11, 1925, the youngest of ten children of Maria Clemente and Pasquale Ricci in Richfield Springs, NY. She graduated from Holland Patent Central High School, class of 1943. On April, 19, 1945, she married David Wade Patrick. They raised four children and were happily married for 36 years until Wade's passing, December 16, 1981. Louise began her career as a civil servant at Griffiss Air Force Base as a secretary. Later, she worked at the Civil Aeronautics Board, (CAB), National Aviation and Space Administration, (NASA), and completed her tenure at the United States Marine Corps, (USMC) as a contract specialist, retiring shortly after Operation Desert Storm. She continued her education, evenings, while working full time and received her Bachelor of Science Degree and Paralegal Certificate, both from the University of Maryland, at the age of 55.

Louise was the matriarch and co-founder of The Patrick Heating Co. After her retirement of 40 years of service with the Federal Government in 1992, she returned to work in her self-proclaimed position of "Comptroller of Currency".

Her family was her life and she was at her happiest when they were gathered around her. Louise is survived by her beloved children, David Patrick, Rome, NY, Barbara Cornett and husband Billy, Kingston, TN, Linda Gail Patrick, Franklin, TN, Deborah Patrick and husband Robert, Conway, SC, her grandchildren, Wade, Melanie, Dan, Maria, Shaun, Becky, and great grandchildren, Wade, Katy, Hayley, D.J., Nettie, Everett, and Shaun. Louise is also survived by her brothers, Joe Ricci, Utica, NY and Tony Ricci, Schuyler, NY.

Louise's family would like to offer their sincerest thanks to the countless number of family, friends and neighbors for their outpouring of love and kindness in our time of grief.

Calling hours will be at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 Chestnut St., Rome, NY, Friday, June 8th from 4:00-7:00pm, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 pm by Ian Banks, Pastor, Immanuel Baptist Church.
