Lorma A. Barker, age 74, of Rome, passed away peacefully May 10, at the Eastern Star Home, with her loving family at her side.
She was born august 22, 1940, in Sheldon, NY, a daughter of Laverne and Lorraine Reisdorf Schiltz. Lorma was married to Daniel Barker. She owned and operated the Shamrock Golf and Country Club for many years.
Lorma is survived by her husband, Daniel; a daughter, Michelle Reed of Rome; two sons and daughters in law, Mark and Sheri Reed of Rome, and Matthew and Anna Reed of Oriskany; step-children, Daniel Barker and Danielle Barker; three sisters, Leona McCormick, Loretta Prusak and Louella Eckert; three brothers, Leon, Leslie and Lynn Schiltz; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Larry and Laverne Schiltz.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 7 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Saturday 4 to 7 PM, prior to the funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Star Home.
