Lori A. Gatley-Yager, age 63, passed away on March 26, 2026, at Rome Health, after a brief illness.

Lori was born in Rome on December 1, 1962, to the late Walter and Mary Trinka Gatley and graduated from RFA. On February 14, 2004 , she was united in marriage to Michael Yager. Lori began her career working at Rome Cable and was currently employed at CON MED.

In her younger years, Lori was an active cyclist and completed the Tour de Cure. She also enjoyed riding snowmobiles.

Lori is survived by her loving husband, Michael; her son, Brendan Gatley; her siblings, Robert (Kelly), Terry (Patty), and Paul (Sue); her aunts, Pearl Trinka and Hilda Trinchik; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 11 AM, at St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the church on Thursday April 9, from 10 to 11 AM prior to the mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Rome, P.O. Box 4572, Rome, NY 13442-4572.
