Lloyd A. Miller, age 86, of Stittville, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at the Wynn Hospital, with his loving family by his side.
Lloyd was born in Floyd on December 17, 1938, to the late Harold and Gladys Mudge Miller and graduated from Holland Patent Central School. On December 6, 1958 he was united in marriage to the former Doris Jones; a blessed union of 47 years until her passing on August 22, 2006. Lloyd worked for many years as a truck driver for Consolidated Freight, and also Bakers Greenhouse which he referred to as his "fun" job.
Lloyd was an avid reader. He was the ambassador for the Oneida County Blue Bird Society and was also the Town of Floyd Constable.
Lloyd is survived by his son, Kevin Miller of Rome; his daughter, Jacqueline (Michael) Roback of Marcy; his granddaughter, Devon (Tyler) Carroll; his great grandchildren, Piper and Flynn; his sister, Debbie Favata; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Christine Miller; and his sisters, LeMoyne Snyder and Joyce Mammone.
Lloyd's funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Westernville Cemetery in the spring.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to 3 prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Floyd Volunteer Fire Department.
