Kelly Ann Hanshew Hoey, age 44, of Rome, died December 23, 2012, with her loving family by her side in Springfield, MA.
She was born April 7, 1968, in Austin, Texas, the daughter of Charles and Margaret Butler Hanshew. Kelly graduated from Rome Free Academy and Utica School of Commerce. She married Richard F. Hoey, June 3, 2000 at St. Mary's Church. She worked as a student loan counselor for ACS in Utica. She loved animals, especially dogs.
Kelly is survived by her husband, Richard of Rome; mother, Margaret of Rome; two brothers and sisters in-law Joseph S. and Kimm A. Trinka of Rome; Andrew W. and Tonya R. Hanshew of Fishers, IN; nieces and nephews, Jennifer and Neil Pogozelski, Kristin Trinka, Joseph Trinka and Kristopher Trinka all of Rome. She is predeceased by her father, Charles Hanshew.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 PM from the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, and at 2:00 PM at Paul's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
