Justin C. Baird, age 21, of Floyd, passed away peacefully at home on December 2, 2016 after a lifelong battle with cerebral palsy.
Justin was born in Rome on March 14, 1995 to Charles and Julie Wallace Baird. He graduated from Vernon Verona Sherrill High School this past summer. He enjoyed camping with his friends. He also liked Patsy Klein and Johnny Cash. Justin had the ability to hear the faintest noise, even if the person next to him couldn't.
Justin is survived by his parents; his sister, Amber Baird; his brother, Devin Baird; his aunts and uncles, Virginia "Ginny" Wilson, Coralle "Cora" Elmer, Karl Baird, Joseph, Jay, and James and Nina Wallace; and many cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 6 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 PM prior to the service.
