Juanita N. Pileckas, age 92, of Rome, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2016 at Rome Memorial Hospital.
Juanita was born on December 4, 1923 in Berkeley, CA to the late Simon and Juanita Weide Nanninga. She was united in marriage to Joseph Pileckas on March 24, 1945; a blessed union of 56 years until his passing on November 21, 2001. She was active in the PEO and Western Group.
Juanita is survived by her son, Allen Pileckas of Rome. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Si Nanninga.
In keeping with Juanita's wishes, her body has been donated to science.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the First Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
