Duffy, age 96, of Rome, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2020 at the Presbyterian Home. Josephine was born in Witherbee, NY on March 19, 1924 to the late Frank and Sophia Krzcminski Plonka, and educated in the Moriah Central School District in ort Henry, NY.  She was a homemaker an also worked for Western Union, the Boston Store, and the United Way. Josephine was an active member of the St. Mary’s Parish and its Altar Rosary Society, and the Rome TWIGS-Spruce Branch. She volunteered at Rome Hospital, enjoyed playing bingo and cards, and loved to bake for her family and friends. Josephine is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Art) Rees of Wampsville, NY, and Susan Coleman of Rome; her sons, Joseph (Judy) Duffy or Waterbury Center, VT, Michael (Sharon) Duffy of Grafton, NH, and Stephen (Karen) Duffy of Phoenix, AZ; her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Dylan, Kaitlin (Justin), Ellen (Christopher), Heather (Jonathan), Erica, Kyle, and Blake; her great grandchildren, Harper Mae and Hazel; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W.
