Within the time you've been gone,
You've been working magic,
There's a lot that's been forgone,
And that's why it all seems so tragic,
Joey you've touched us all,
You've had the biggest heart,
But fulfilled your call,
So it's time for us to part.
You've made us all smile,
You gave us all something to look toward,
All of this pain has been worthwhile,
Because knowing you has been our greatest reward.
You've helped shed some light,
Showing us why we live,
And how to do what's right,
Even when it's simply to forgive.
When I think of you, I go numb,
It's hard for me to rejoice,
Sadness is hard to shy away from,
But you already said that with your own voice.
You're amazing that what you are,
Without saying a word,
You've become my morning star,
You've talked and have been heard.
Within the time you've been gone,
You've been working magic,
There's a lot that's been forgone,
But now, it's not so tragic,
It's beautiful what you've done.
So we must thank you,
Although you've been set free,
Known how much we love you,
Now it's your time to be.
